The following improvements in guitar fingering and user interface enable the finest MidiTabPlayer experience:

 Improved Fingering Discovery Transcription engine now automatically recognizes and trims note tails that may cause fingering inconsistencies. Over-extended note tails appear in some MIDI sequences due to inaccurate authoring. This change greatly improves the automatic transcription results.
2 18-fret Guitar Option Transcription dialog window offers an extended 18 fret guitar as the instrument selection in addition to the normal 15 fret guitar. This instrument can be used for songs with increased note ranges.
3 More Tuning Selections Additional guitar tuning selections were added in the transcription dialog screen.
4 Refined Fingering Styles Improved the fingering style parameters and deployed the following styles: "classic", "default", "high strings", "student" and "chordal".
5 Chordal Fingering Mode Chordal transcription style searches through a database of chords.
6 Large Fret board Display Resizing functionality added. User can choose between normal and large window sizes using mouse drag or the menu command. The program remembers the preferred display size between sessions.
7 Arrow Key Navigation Left and right arrow keys navigation feature allows advancing and backing up through the fingering one frame at a time.
8 No Advertising Screen Fret board display immediately after the program starts. No need to cancel our web site promotion screen every time.
9 Free Evaluation Mode Demo mode allows the user to evaluate the software with limited song length. The user can purchase and enter the registration key in the startup screen.
10 Song File Compatibility Backward compatibility for MidiTabPlayer Fan version song files (MTP) created with earlier versions such as 1.1 and 1.0.
11 User Interface Improvements Hour glass displays during transcription process to indicate wait.

The selected MIDI track is highlighted immediately when the user clicks for better user feedback.

Song file format (MTP) includes an identification tag allowing the application to recognize and reject alien file formats more reliably.
12 Bugs fixed A group of transcription parameters in all fingering styles was corrupted. This fix improves the automatic transcription results.
