Software tools providing guitar tablature and MIDI playback have proven themselves useful to players of all levels. Several software publishers came up with innovative tools that we captured in the following list:

Take your favorite CD and convert it to a MIDI file and you are ready to practice with the MidiTabPlayer™. Unfortunately, this technology is still being perfected and our understanding is that the conversion works reasonably well for monophonic recordings only. Software vendors offer tools for this purpose. We'll periodically review the performance of related products and maintain a list here:
